CBI Governor meets his Egyptian counterpart in Cairo
His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Mustafa Ghalib Mukheef, met with the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Mr. Tarek Amer, in Cairo. They discussed bilateral relations between the two monetary institutions and ways to develop supervisory work and cooperation in the banking sector. The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on monitoring and electronic payment and ways to enhance collaboration and build banking relations between the two brotherly countries.
It is noteworthy that the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq arrived on Tuesday afternoon in Cairo at the head of a large banking delegation at the invitation of the Egyptian side.
