Main functions of the accounting Directorate


Tasks of the Accounting Directorate

First: The implementation of the "ongoing government and banking" transactions. This group includes:
  • Current government accounts" where the accounting restrictions are applied to the accounts of the Ministry of Finance and some other directorates in dinars and dollars, and prepare the matches and periodic statements of government directorates and branches of the Central Bank, in addition to clearing operations.
  • Current bank accounts" which include bank accounts, including the mandatory reserve accounts in dinars and dollars, and free accounts, in addition to transactions accounts in the window of sale and purchase of foreign currency, exchange and cash deposit, matching banks and correspondent accounts.
 
Second: "Administrative Accounts", which includes the performance of the following tasks:
  • Preparing the budget and reports, including preparing the annual planning budget and monitoring its implementation, preparing the final accounts in coordination with the international company to audit the central bank accounts, and implementing and updating the accounting guidance.
  • Implementation of Human Resources Account Constraints "including salaries, tax, loans (housing and treatment loan) and accounts of staff members.
  • Expenses, administrative income and secretariats "as defined.
 
Third: "Accounting systems" including "systems", "follow-up and operation" and "reports" where the required coordination achieved with the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology and the tasks carefully separated according to international best practices.
 
Forth: "Internal Audit and Control" where the internal audit and control functions of both the "current accounts" and "management accounts" transactions are performed     .
 
In addition to the services provided by the Administrative Sector and the Office of the General Manager.
