Central Securities Depositories - CSD
A system that manages government bonds issued by the Central Bank of Iraq and the Ministry of Finance. The actual operation of the system was started in 2008. The number of banks participating in the system reached (55) banks in addition to the Ministry of Finance, the Department of Minority Care and the General Authority for Retirement. The system was also developed to include the following:
A- Issuance of Islamic certificates of deposit (ICD).
B- Investment Unit.
