Central Bank of Iraq Third Annual Conference

The Iraqi Central Bank concluded its third annual scientific conference held under the title "The Role of the Central Bank in the achieving Financial and economic stability in the capital Baghdad for the period 9-10 December 2017, with an important Arab and international presence, as well as the wide participation of scholars and specialists who played an active role in achieving the objectives of the conference and enriching it with ideas that contribute to the formulation of strategies that work to achieve sustainable financial and economic stability in Iraq.

The President of the Palestinian Monetary Authority and his accompanying delegation, as well as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, as well as representatives of the Union of Arab Banks, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Advisor of the Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and the financial and the economy committees in the House of Representatives and government and private banks operating in Iraq and financial world, Arab and local companies.

The conference was attended by the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Ali Mohsen Ismail, the representative of the President of the Republic, Mr. Hussein Al Hindawi, and the Chairman of the Finance Committee, Dr. Mohammad Tamim, the Chairman of the Committee on Economy and Investment, Mr. Ahmad Alkanani.

The conference was rich with four sessions attended by a group of Iraqi and Arab financial and economic leaders, which included discussion of the financial and economic situation in Iraq.
