Emphasizing on the need for growth of the banking sector, Director General of Basra branch welcomes the US Consul

The Director General of the Central Bank of Iraq Basra branch, Dr. Qassim Rahaif Maribat emphasized during a meeting with US Consul in the province, Timmy Davis, on the need to promote the growth of the banking sector and economic development in the southern region.

The meeting included senior staff of CBI Basra branch, discussing ways of cooperation within the banking sector to serve the economic and financial process of Iraq in general and the southern region in particular.

For his part, Mr. Timmy expressed the readiness of the US consulate to assist in the development of the banking sector in the southern region, thanking the Director General of the branch and his staff for their gift to him, which was the logo of the Central Bank of Iraq.
