The Governor of the Central Bank meets the President of the Republic of Iraq

His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Ali Mohsen Ismail, met His Excellency the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid.

During the meeting, they discussed the ground of the Iraqi banking sector and reform measures for developing it, enhancing the financial inclusion of the country, and the reform packages taken by the Central Bank to face the rise of the dollar exchange rate, and its impact on the process of the local market.

His Excellency the President of the Republic praised the measures of the Central Bank to stop the rise of the exchange rate of the dollar, as well as the reform operations undertaken by this bank to improve the situation of the banking sector.

For his part, the Governor appreciated the efforts and following-up of  the president for this sector of the country, stressing the seriousness of the Central Bank in developing its performance to achieve its goals and their positive repercussions on the Iraqi economy.
