CBI Governor receives the Jordanian Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship
His Excellency, the Governor of the central bank of Iraq, received Today Wednesday his Excellency the Jordanian Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Mr. Ahmed Al Hananda, and the accompanying delegation. The two parties discussed strengthening relations between the two countries in digital banking and promoting e-commerce and digital financial transactions. His Excellency the Governor welcomed the guest delegation, praising the Iraqi-Jordanian relations and the significant development they have reached during the past years.
His Excellency said: The relationship between the Central Bank and the communications and information technology companies has become more robust due to the tremendous acceleration witnessed in digital banking and electronic payment. Explaining that "we need to benefit from the digital experience in Jordan and maintain the connection, especially in light of the historical and economic relationship that binds the two countries."
His Excellency the Jordanian Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Mr. Ahmed Al Hananda, praised the achievements made by the Central Bank of Iraq during the past period. Declaring his desire to achieve integration in the financial field between the two countries and strengthen banking partnerships, which can positively reflect on both parties, especially the Iraqi community in Amman, stressing Jordan's readiness to provide all possible support to the Iraqi banking sector in the field of digital services. In conclusion, His Excellency the Minister invited His Excellency the Governor to visit Jordan to complete the cooperation frameworks and learn about the Jordanian experience. For his part, His Excellency the Governor welcomed the invitation and promised to meet it at the earliest opportunity.
