CBI announces amendments to the regulations for the declaration of funds entering and leaving Iraq

The Central Bank of Iraq is eager to clarify the instructions and regulations for the declaration of funds entering and leaving across the Iraqi border.

 

The Central Bank of Iraq and the Council of Anti- Money Laundering and combating the financing of terrorism would like to announce the first amendment to the regulations for the declaration of funds when entering or leaving across the Iraqi borders. The amendment published in the Iraqi official newspaper (Al-WAQA’E) No. 4551 dated 19/8/2019, before applying it on February 2020, to spare citizens and travelers the legal accountability for the irregularities stipulated in those regulations during the transfer of funds across the border.
