Tuesday, the Central Bank of Iraq warned against dealing with websites and platforms that practice betting and trade in money, giving the name and logo of the Central Bank of Iraq a facade for it. As CBI noticed the weak-minded people used its name and logo to exploit citizens in promotional applications, websites, and fake platforms that adopt trickery methods and mislead citizens, exposing them to financial fraud.
Noted also these applications, websites and platforms are not licensed by CBI, warning citizens against dealing with them and stressing the importance of verifying their reliability before using them, and informing the Banking Awareness and Supervision of Banking Services Department when there is any suspicious case via e-mail (banking.awareness@cbi. iq) or call (07809224663).
