The Governor of the Central Bank inaugurates the Iraqi Media Museum

 

His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Mustafa Ghalib Mukheef, inaugurated the Iraqi Media Museum at the headquarters of the Iraqi Media Network after the Central Bank and the Iraqi Private Banks League through a financial grant from the Community Initiatives Fund "Tamkeen" rehabilitated it. The Governor said, during the opening ceremony, which was attended by the President of the  Iraqi Private Banks League, Wadih Al-Handal, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Iraqi Media Network, Jaafar Al-Wanan, and the President of the Network, Nabil Jassem, in addition to a group of Iraqi artists and media professionals: "The importance of this museum stems from preserving the history of the Iraqi media, which is the oldest In the region, we are proud that the first Arab newspapers and televisions were established in our country, and this is what motivated us to support the museum, which documents the march of Iraqi media in all its forms, including the press, television, and radio, as well as the people who worked in this field and have a distinguished career in it." His Excellency congratulated the media workers on the completion of this museum, which is the first of its kind in the region, stressing "the Central Bank of Iraq provides full support to the Iraqi media, and that the Community Initiatives Fund continues to support activities that serve the Iraqi community, including the media sector."
