The Governor of the CBI meets with the Saudi Minister of Trade

The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq meets with the Saudi Minister of Trade and the delegation accompanying him

The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Dr. Ali Mohsen Ismail, met with Saudi Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi and Dr. Fahd bin Ibrahim Al-Shathri, Deputy Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency. The two sides discussed the banking sector issues between the two countries and means of cooperation that will develop and open the horizons of comprehensive work in all financial, economic and commercial sectors. Saudi Arabia's Minister of Trade Al-Qasabi affirmed Saudi Arabia's desire for economic openness and trade exchanges with Iraq, stressing the necessity of correcting the previous tracks.

For his part, His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq expressed his readiness to overcome all the obstacles facing banking cooperation between the two brotherly countries and it was agreed to designate a link between the Central Bank of Iraq and the institution through the governor's deputy for the institution and the general manager of financial operations and debt management. Dr. Al-Shathri expressed the desire of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to strengthen and develop banking cooperation with Iraq in all fields, which in turn will open the horizons of investment between the two countries.
