The Central Bank confirms the continued fulfillment of requests through the electronic cash platform

The Central Bank of Iraq confirmed on Wednesday that it continues to meet the requests of companies, financing their imports of goods and services, as well as financing the personal needs of all citizens, such as travel, treatment and study, through the electronic cash platform, and meeting the requests of banks and electronic payment companies related to enhance their balances to cover the settlements of electronic payment cards. (Visa, Master Card), within the official exchange rate of 1320 dinars per dollar, hence this bank urges the beneficiaries of the platform’s services to do the following:

1. Merchants must establish commercial companies at the Companies Registration Directorate to ensure meeting their requests through the window for buying and selling foreign currency smoothly and at the official rate.
2. Shops, malls, and stores provide POS, in order to facilitate the payment process for citizens to encourage them to use electronic payment methods.
3. The acquisition of electronic payment cards by Citizens from companies and banks is to settle their various obligations through such cards.
