The Center for Banking Studies holds a workshop on Deposit InsuranceSponsored by His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Mustafa Ghalib Mukheef, and in the presence of several CBI officials and banks representatives, the Center for Banking Studies at the Central Bank of Iraq held, today, Thursday, a workshop on the Deposit Insurance Company and its role in protecting depositors’ funds. The Iraqi Company for Deposit Insurance director, Mr. Waleed Eidi, gave a lecture on establishing deposit insurance companies or institutions in the region and the world, including the Republic of Iraq, to guarantee deposits and enhance confidence in the banking sector.
