Iraqi-Egyptian banking meeting in Cairo

 

His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Mustafa Ghalib Mukheef, and his accompanying delegation from the Iraqi banking sector met with His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Mr. Tarek Amer, and the Egyptian banking sector. His Excellency stressed the need to build bridges of cooperation between the two countries and exchange banking relations. The two sides discussed both countries' financial and monetary challenges and the need to exchange experiences in the financial and monetary sectors. In addition to the tremendous pressures, the two countries' banks face hazardous circumstances, how each confronts them, and the adopted measures. The two sides affirmed their keenness to exchange experiences. The Central Bank of Iraq welcomed Egyptian banks to open branches in Iraq.
