CBI issues regulations for funding renewable energy power generation systemsToday, Monday, 1/3/2022, the Central Bank of Iraq issued regulations for funding renewable energy power generation systems. His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Mustafa Ghalib Mukheef, signed generalization No. 1 on 1/3/2022 regarding the controls that will allow citizens and various institutions to purchase renewable energy power generation systems within the resources of his initiative through banks.This initiative comes in line with the state’s directions to abide by the decisions of the Paris Climate Conference. The Central Bank launched its initiative to shift to clean energy within this framework. A committee headed by the Deputy Governor was formed. Its membership included representatives from the Ministries of Environment and Electricity, the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, and private sector representatives from experts and investors.Central Bank of IraqMedia Office3 January, 2022
